Now, this is an experience of a lifetime, something you will never forget! Standing on a wing - yes you read correctly and flying through the air, may have you questioning your decisions and leave your stomach in knots, but the view and adrenaline rush is something out of this world. This amazing experience will see you learning the skill of wing walking at Leeds East Airport, the former RAF Church Fenton base which is situated between Leeds and York. You will be airborne on a plane at speeds of up to 135mph whilst strapped to the wing of a biplane, so you will need to be taught a number of different things before you take off. One of the first things you learn will be hand signals. Due to the height and speed, this makes it difficult to talk, so hand signals are at high importance when it comes to communicating with the pilot. You will then go through exactly what you can expect whilst you are wing walking in the skies above Yorkshire.

Absolutely amazing day! First of all the waiting area was super modern and clean! We were briefed and made to feel comfortable. It was touch and go as to wether we could fly that day as the wind was high but we did. The pilot was so welcoming and made you feel comfortable and safe. The actual experience was out of this world. Words cant really describe the feeling unless you actually do it yourself but it was AMAZING! All the staff helping were super friendly. Would definitely recommend to anyone!! (Brave enough)

- Invite friends and family to watch you in your own 10-minute wing walking display.
- Before the flight, you will receive a wing walker training session, which includes safety awareness and instruction on the use of the rig and seatbelts.
- Stand on the wing of an authentic Boeing Stearman Biplane travelling at speeds of up to 135 mph.
- Your experience will last approx 10 Minutes from when you start to climb up onto the plane.
- A qualified display pilot will complete the air display
- Optional recording of your flight will be available for an additional charge (payable direct)
- Please allow approximately three hours on-site for this experience
It is a condition of CAA approval that you are made fully aware that Wing Walking carries a higher risk than a normal commercial flight (e.g when you fly on holiday) . The operator of these experiences will brief you clearly on the risks that have been identified and how they have been mitigated to make the experiences as safe as possible. You will receive an in-depth briefing on the day of your flight and have the opportunity to ask any questions before signing a disclaimer and confirm the briefing and risk acceptance.

- Wing walkers must be under 85kg (13 stone 3lbs)
- There is no height restrictions for this experience
- The minimum age is 18.
- There is no upper age limit, but those over 65 must have a doctor's note
- You must be able and fit enough to climb up the aircraft to the Rig on the top wing (approximately 10 feet)
- This experience is approved by the CAA and you are permitted to raise money or be sponsored whilst Wing Walking at this location
- Please be aware that wing walking carries a higher risk than a 'normal' airline flight and these risks will be clearly explained to you on the day
- A form is required should you have any medical conditions or be on any medication

What an Amazing experience the event was, from booking to leaving the venue was smooth... even the landing. Staff were helpful and reassuring , a lovely lounge whwre you could relax and have a Beverage and some light snacks. Would highly recommend

I received a wing walking experience gift from a very good friend for my 60th birthday with into the blue. I must say it was one of the best things I have ever done, the staff are really amazing and very informative, the reception area is great. But the wing walk itself just blew my socks off Talk about being free as a bird you are actually up there with them soaring like an Eagle, diving and twisting in the sky. Highly recommended this fabulous experience. Cannot wait to do it again.

What an amazing morning! The staff on site were friendly, informative and professional. If anyone is thinking of wing walking then I would definitely recommend Wing Walk Yorkshire. Unfortunately the pandemic and then bad weather meant having to cancel on 2 previous occasions but rebooking was easy and the person on the telephone so apologetic about the previous cancellation. As for the experience of wing walking - incredible. I'm saving up to do another as soon as possible. This was the best gift I have ever received and I'm looking forward to reliving it when my video arrives. Thank you to all the team at Wing Walk Yorkshire.

WOW! What an experience, I loved every minute. The team at Leeds East were absolutely amazing, a lovely trio, inspiring confidence and fully explaining every bit of the wing-walk in the induction. The pilot was brilliant, he asked if I liked roller coasters which I do, so he did some tricks - flying vertical then plummeting, so you are weightless at the peak which was awesome. I opted for the video/ photo package, it hasn’t arrived yet, but the pilot set off loads of smoke which will look fabulous on the photos. I cannot recommend this experience highly enough, it’s a big tick on my bucket list. Leeds East is a lovely small airfield with a nice cafe - my friends had a cooked breakfast, whilst I was doing the induction, and said it was really good. Thank you for an amazing experience xx

Brilliant experience! Staff at the Leeds site were amazing, so calming and friendly. I was a bag of nerves but they were so reassuring, from the lady on the snack desk, to the chap who did the induction and the pilot also. Honestly couldn't recommend this more. As a side note, I accidentally booked the wrong site initially and Into the Blue very easily changed it for me. That was stress free after I realised my mistake! Overall, a great experience, and visitors so welcome too so you can have your support network with you if you're scared like me!

Excellent day. Staff were friendly and efficient. From childhood and now in my 79th year, my day had finally arrived. I was fundraising for a local charity for Special Needs Children. I wore my tutu and the pilot made it a super set off with loads of smoke. The kids loved it. Dreams came true and now the money to send these kids on an adventure holiday. Will be back for my 80th but next time I want to" Loop the Loop", Truly amazing day.

After 16 years waiting to Wing Walk I can safely say that it was amazing. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, they made the feeling of excitement come alive even more. The flight was incredible (in between breaths!). This was the most amazing experience ever, I want to do it again and again. The staff on the day were excellent and informative, ready to answer any questions I had.I was worried about getting on and off the wing but needn't have as the staff were reassuring and the young man taking me on and off was very clear with his instructions and patient with me. My advice to anyone who is thinking about this is go and do it you won't regret it. I also made around £700 sponsorship money for a greyhound rescue charity. A good day all round.

If you like adrenalin fuelled experiences then you need to put this one to the top of your list. I did this Wing Walk in Sept 2017 at Chiltern Aerodrome, and had an amazing time. All the staff there were brilliant, from Tracey who inducted me, Christiana who strapped me to the rig, Allan who set up the camera, and Mike the pilot that filled me in with the flight procedure. My husband Geoff did the wingwalk 13/05/2017. He has Alzheimer, he did to raise money for side by side service which he gets a volunteer to go and do the things he likes to do, run by Alzheimer society. Best thing I have ever done. The booking process was straightforward, the people on the day made you feel welcome, safe and made sure you had fun. The pilot was fantastic and when he knew I was enjoying it made sure he got as much out of it as possible for me.

I loved the wing walking and have the video to prove it! Mike was brilliant. He was so friendly and professional, immediately putting me at ease and then giving me a wonderful flight. I was joined by family and friends and everyone had a great time. There was so much more going on than we had expected, a particular highlight was the arrival of the Russian trainer plane that did a loop the loop before landing, show off. I am terrible at remembering names but I think it was Kate who welcomed us all and gave me my pre-flight briefing. She couldn’t have been nicer. I would recommend to anyone.

Although my first date was cacelled due to the weather, I met the pilot and his wife and they quickly sorted out an alternative date. I had huge trust in Mike, the pilot, and found the whole experience amazing and felt very safe. My husband and some friends came to see me and they had a good time too. I'd do this again!
