About the White Water Family Tubing Session for Four
Experience the thrill of white water tubing in Northampton! We offer 1.5-hour sessions for a family of four at the Nene Whitewater Centre, where you can ride the rapids in a big rubber ring. Suitable for all ages starting from just 7 years old, this is a fantastic water sport for everyone. You’ll be tubing on the white waters of the UK's first manmade water sports course, located just southeast of Northampton's city centre. The water flow is controlled by three pumps, so if you’re a beginner, the conditions can be set to be less intense. The tube you'll be riding in is specifically designed for white water adventures. It resembles a large inner tube (hence the name) and provides a fun, bouncy, and exhilarating ride down the 300-meter course. Sessions are based on time rather than the number of runs, which means you'll have plenty of opportunities to make several descents during your time slot. The facilities at the centre are excellent, including hot showers (a definite plus after a couple of hours on the rapids) and changing rooms. There are also multiple viewing areas for spectators and a great on-site café. Conveniently located just off the main A45, this white water tubing centre is easily accessible from all over Northamptonshire, with plenty of free parking available.

- You do not have to be a swimmer but must be confident being in and around water whilst wearing a floatation aid
- Maximum weight is 18 stone

- Participants should bring a towel, swimwear, old shorts and a pair of shoes that can get wet
- Wetsuits are provided free of charge
- The centre has a full changing room and showering facilities including those for the disabled, a cafeteria, a lift and training rooms if required
- There is ample parking on site
- Nearby hotels and B and B accommodation can be recommended
- Saturdays and Sundays from April to October
- Session times: Saturdays 11:30 / Sundays 13:00 and 15.30
- Participants should arrive at least 15 minutes prior to their booked slot
