Discover how the professionals work as you take on the challenge of solving a crime in this immersive full-day CSI and Forensics experience for two. Guided by experts and real case studies, you'll navigate the complexities of crime-solving while uncovering the truth behind common forensic myths. There's far more to an investigation than what you see on your favourite crime shows! These hands-on experiences are based on real-life cases and led by seasoned professionals, including active and retired crime scene investigators, senior detectives, forensic scientists, crash investigators, and major crime specialists. It’s as close to the real deal as it gets. Your day begins with a briefing at the ‘crime centre’ before diving into forensic techniques used by investigative teams. From DNA swabbing and blood analysis to fingerprint lifting and crime scene photography, you'll get a firsthand look at authentic forensic methods—and even use your own forensic kit. Our 'Ultimate' voucher includes an advanced 'Digging Deeper into Forensics' session. This segment delves into the finer details of forensic science, such as how blood spatter patterns reveal the victim's injuries and how anatomical evidence helps identify the weapon used. Ultimate CSI and Further Forensics Experience
Morning Session: CSI Experience
- Hands-on introduction to the basics of forensic science
- Attend a crime scene, which may link to a kidnap or murder case under investigation
- Examine the crime scenes, processing evidence using legitimate forensic techniques they have been taught throughout the session.
Topics covered include:
- Developing and lifting fingerprints
- Casting and lifting footwear marks electronically
- Photographing scenes
- Gathering evidence
- Interviewing witnesses
- Communication with radios
Break for lunch (lunch not included)
Afternoon Session: Digging Deeper into Forensics
- Investigate a case study and crime before examining the evidence from start to finish
- Sessions last approximately 7 hours (1 hour lunch break included)
Topics covered include:
- DNA: Advancements and facts, Cytology-prepare a slide with your own DNA and DNA Electrophoresis
- Forensic Entomology (insects)
- Osteology: Identifying and matching weapons to injuries and identifying causes of death
- Blood: Reading spatter patterns, recreate a scene with 'Boris' the blood spatter head, test analysis of the

Experience Information
