As you ascend on the plane, you'll be harnessed to your instructor, creating a backpack-like sensation. When it's time to exit, you'll make your way to the open door and then it's time to take the plunge! Lasting approximately 30 seconds, it's a moment that's truly one-of-a-kind. At around 5000 feet, your instructor will deploy the chute, resulting in a brief upward motion as the free fall stops. Then, as you descend, you'll have around four to five minutes of floating under the canopy, during which you can enjoy some gentle turns and manoeuvres if you're feeling adventurous. Your instructor may even let you take control for a moment! As you approach the ground, it's time for the perfect landing. With your knees up, your instructor will touch down first, and with any luck, you'll be able to stand up right away. - Allow spending a full day at the airfield for your jump

- Most locations can arrange filming of your jump for an additional fee

- All venues will have a clubhouse for visitors and spectators
- Some venues have dorms or camping facilities if you want to stay overnight

- Approximate weight limits are 14.5 stone for men and 13.5 stone for women
- Weight limit at Peterborough is 15.7 stone
- Weight limit at Durham is 15.5 stone for men and 14.5 stone for women
- If you are near these limits it is advisable to check in advance for your chosen venue
- Minimum age is 16, under 18's must have written parental consent
- There is no maximum age however over 40's must have a doctor's certificate
- All participants must complete a 'Declaration of Fitness' form before the event
