This Steam Train Afternoon Tea in Somerset comes with extra sparkle! You will board the steam-hauled train departing from Cranmore Station at 3:30 PM. Your reserved table in the Mendip Belle first-class dining car will be set and ready for you to enjoy your afternoon tea. As the train travels from Cranmore along the scenic heritage railway line to Mendip Vale Station and back, you can relax and take in the beautiful views of Somerset—perfect for toasting with your flute of Prosecco! Your onboard afternoon tea platter features four finger sandwiches, three dainty miniature cakes, and, of course, scones served with clotted cream and jam. In addition to your glass of bubbly, there will also be a pot of freshly brewed tea waiting for you at your table. The East Somerset Railway is a wonderful place to explore. We recommend arriving earlier in the day to visit the museum, engine shed, and workshop, where restoration work takes place. You are welcome to travel on any other scheduled services on the day of your booking, allowing you to hop on and off the train at your leisure.     • In addition to your cream tea train, guests are welcome to travel on earlier trains as well for no additional charge
    • Gluten free scones are also available, but need to be specified at the time of booking
    • A non-alcoholic drink is available by request at the time of booking instead of prosecco
    • Every effort will be made to run the trains according to the timetable, but unforeseen circumstances may entail alteration or cancellations. The East Somerset Railway reserves the right to vary any of the provisions of this service without prior notice

Train ride was very short. Afternoon tea wasnt available on the train so we had to have it in the cafe afterwards.
