At Oldfield Forge, a family-run smithy founded by Aaron and Nicky, you’ll be welcomed into a world of fire, metal, and craftsmanship. Their team of skilled blacksmiths will guide you through the entire process, from heating raw iron to hammering out delicate, petal-like shapes. No two poppies are the same, making yours a truly personal creation. This three-hour, hands-on workshop is all about getting stuck in - working the forge, shaping glowing-hot metal, and embracing the thrill of traditional blacksmithing. It’s noisy, a bit messy, and seriously satisfying. And don’t worry - the fire will be roaring when you arrive, ready for you to keep it burning as you work. The poppy is a symbol of strength, peace, and remembrance, and what better way to honour that than by forging one yourself?
