About the Mountain Boarding 60 Minute Session (6yrs+)
Experience the excitement of mountain boarding in Hertfordshire at an outdoor adventure centre near Ware! These taster sessions are ideal for both kids and adults who are trying mountain boarding for the first time, starting from age six. Mountain boarding is similar to snowboarding, but instead of snow, it takes place on grass. All you need is a grassy slope, and this family-run centre, located on a former farm estate, offers plenty of gentle countryside for you to board down. These beginner-friendly experiences will teach you the essential skills needed for mountain boarding. You’ll learn how to stop safely, control your speed, and navigate controlled turns instead of just racing straight down the hill. Your adventure begins on flat ground, where you'll become accustomed to standing on the board with your feet in the bindings. After that, you’ll progress to a gentle slope, practising how to start and stop. Once you’ve mastered that, you’ll practice heel and toe-side J turns by applying pressure on your heels or toes to turn and finish uphill. From there, it’s all about perfecting those turns as you glide down the hill, looking impressive on your mountain board! All necessary gear is provided, including the board, bindings, helmet, and knee and elbow protection. A mountain board instructor will be with you to coach and support you throughout your mountain boarding experience at this friendly Hertfordshire location.

Experience Information
- Minimum age 6
- Maximum age 65
- All under 16's must be accompanied by a participating adult
- Comfortable outdoor clothing and covered in footwear should be worn
- Not suitable for those who are pregnant
- Riders must be capable of climbing/descending stairs unaided
- Available on weekdays and weekends throughout the year
- Sessions are generally available between 10:00 and 17:00

- Wheelchair access to the site and an outdoor seating area
