Experience the sensation of what it's like to fly in a Mk IX Spitfire with this fantastic 90 Minute Immersive Flight Simulator experience! Hosted at RAF Mildenhall, an active RAF/USAF airbase in Suffolk, this fixed-base simulator has been designed and developed by those who have worked at RAF Mildenhall. They have applied their extensive knowledge of avionics electronics to this Spitfire simulator which carefully and closely replicates the experience of being in the real thing as possible in the replica cockpit, kitted out with full analogue controls and tactile, and a stunning HD definition 220° screen onto which outside views and the silhouette of the wings and propeller projected onto it! You'll start off with a basic session in the training simulator to help you get accustomed to start up, taxiing, flight controls and landing, before your mission awaits over at the Spitfire simulator where your mission will be to successfully fly the plane, and maybe even take on an aerial dogfight like that in the Battle of Britain. This flight simulator experience, for the mixture of emotions it elicits and the rush it provides, is quite unlike any other.

- The simulator boasts a complete replica cockpit, analogue controls and tactile feedback that surrounds you in the sights, sounds, and feel of the Spitfire
- All sessions start with a short briefing and 30 minutes on a training simulator, getting you familiar with flight instruments, start-up, taxi, take-off, flight controls and landing
- Training sessions are designed to prepare you for your flight in the Spitfire
- Choose from several scenarios for your spitfire session, including a Battle of Britain Dogfight, a choice of World War Two airfields and many more
- Two guests may accompany you to watch your session

- 30 Minute flight in the Training Sim
- 15 Minute Spitfire brief and planning
- 60 Minute flight in the Spitfire Simulator
- Allow approximately two hours on site for this experience

- Sessions are available between 09:00am and 17:00pm
