My mum was so looking forward to this experience,it kept getting cancelled due to covid,but she eventually did this Birds of prey experience and really enjoyed it,we did it at with a lady called Danielle a true credit to the venue my mum even remarked she felt she had known her for a while,very friendly and knowledgable about the birds and although it is her job you can tell it is a passion for her.I did this experience 3 years ago with Danielle and i would advise anybody thinking of doing this experience to do the same.Looked around the birds first and was told alot of information about them in an informative and entertaining manner.Then went to the field to fly a harrier hawk and then an owl,mum loved itHIGHLY RECOMMENDED

- Meet, handle and fly a variety of raptors

- An introduction to all the birds at the centre
- Learn about the different species, their habitat and environments
- Entry to Hatton Country Wold is included
- You will form part of a small group of up to 4 participants
- Gain hands on experience with a selection of birds of prey
- Learn about initial training (manning) and progress to flying the birds on a training line
- Fly the birds free in the display area
- Course lasts around three hours

A really great experience. Danielle the falconer is so knowledgeable and passionate about the birds my daughter was nervous before hand but was completely put at ease and loved it. Highly recommended.

Absolutely loved this falconry experience. I would highly recommend this as a gift to yourself or to another. To see such beautiful and well cared for birds of prey up close was a pleasure and I learnt so much about the birds. Thankyou Danielle for your time and sharing your incredible knowledge.
