David Beevers is your host for these trips - he comes from a long line of gyroplane pilots, dating back more than three decades. Unlike the sophisticated and reliable aircraft they are today, gyroplanes were formerly so inventive that they resembled precarious-looking flying gadgets and gizmos. David has many anecdotes to share about those early gyro days at Melbourne. David flies the Magni 24 today - the cockpit of this fully enclosed gyroplane resembles a conventional light aircraft with side-by-side seating rather than tandem seating. To the uninitiated, it is indeed equally perplexing due to the abundance of levers, knobs, and buttons. But don't worry; with David's great instruction, everything will be explained in this 30 minute flight.
