You will be flying right up next to the magnificent World War II fighter plane on these breathtaking passenger flights from the airports at Headcorn and North Weald. All flying enthusiasts adore the Spitfire. It serves as both a sombre remembrance of those who gave their lives to defend freedom and a symbol of the Second World War for many. You can take part in a 20 minute trip and fly alongside the Spitfire in a plane or helicopter - this is unquestionably not an average passenger trip. Overview

  • 20-min flights alongside the Spitfire
  • Take off from Headcorn or North Weald airfields
  • Watch as the Spitfire dances around you!
  • Take the most amazing air-to-air photos ever.

    • Fly alongside a WW2 spitfire in close formation.
    • Flights are taken in a multi-seat certified passenger aeroplane or helicopter
    • Ground viewing of the spitfire with plenty of photo opportunities
    • Staff on hand to answer all your questions about the aircraft
    • Experiences generally last 3-4 hours

    Choose one of the following flight options:

    • Spitfire 20 - 20 minute flight experience with 10 minutes alongside the spitfire
    • Free car parking and picnic area
    • Onsite restaurants and children's area
    • All flights are 'chock to chock', so include taxi time
    • At no point do you fly in the Spitfire
    • Participants should allow for a whole day for the experience 9am-7pm, experiences generally last half a day and this is a precaution to allow for weather conditions
    • Opportunity to 'Sit in a Spit' The iconic Spitfire Mk IX TD314 for an additional charge of £65, payable on the day
    • Entry to the onsite museum is payable on the day if you wish to visit
    • Spectators are welcome, with excellent views of the runway and aircraft
    • Height restrictions: Minimum 4ft 6ins, maximum height 6ft 4ins

Absolutely a fabulous experience, I flew next to a spitfire in a helicopter, to see an icon of an aeroplane so close in mid air was amazing, it really brings a lump to your throat and would really recommend anyone thinking of doing this to get booked ASAP, parky the spitfire pilot was on top of his game and explained everything he was going to do before we took off, I for one will certainly be doing this again in the near future.
