You’ll be like two birds of a feather together on this two hour owl experience for two in Staffordshire! Hosted at Byrkley Park Garden Centre in Rangemore near Burton-upon-Trent in this visually stunning part of the West Midlands, you’ll meet with David, the on-site falconer who will bring you into the fine feathered world of owls on this two hour experience. You’ll get to learn all about their nocturnal and diurnal habits, and get to see these almost mythical looking creatures up close. They’ve all got different looks and personalities, from tufty eared Hobbit the Vermiculated Eagle Owl and Tilly the Barn Owl to Kojo the African Spotted Eagle Owl. Over the course of your two hour experience, you’ll get to handle and fly these stunning birds of prey at the centre, surrounded by beautiful woodland, hedgerows, fields and fish ponds - the ideal spot in Staffordshire to watch these magnificent owls take flight!

Very informative and interesting. Great to have the rare opportunity to get close and take part in demonstrations and handling of these wonderful birds. The keeper obviously cares about his birds and it was a pleasure to share with his knowledge.

It was a fantastic day out.To walk round the fields watching a Harris Hawk doing its thing and having it land on my hand a few times was amazing. Id recommend this day to anyone who has even the slightest interest in birds of prey. A very enjoyable and informative day.

A great day, conditions werent perfect but it didnt matter, the day was interesting and at times breath taking. We also learnt a lot from our splendid hosts and would recommend the day without question.

A suberb experience, both David and Amy were very welcoming and clearly care very much about the birds. They are very knowledgeable and ensured everyone in the group was involved at all times. We even found Davids dad jokes funny We would definitely recommend.

The bird of prey experience was very informative and hands on, having many turns with the birds, although it was a cold frosty morning in November we were sheltered by a large wall we were very impressed with the man who did the talk and flights, sorry carnt remember his name, he also bought a lot of humour into it would recommend to anyone interested, so thank you Out of the Blue
