Tucked away in the picturesque Buckinghamshire countryside, this family-run winery produces outstanding white, red, rosé, and sparkling English wines. At the heart of it all are Tim and Sarah Chafor, whose passion, ingenuity, and hands-on approach have built the estate’s glowing reputation—helped, of course, by Tim’s talent for crafting some truly inventive (and quirky) contraptions. Tim planted the first vines here in 2009, just outside Gawcott village, starting with sturdy varieties like Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier before adding the more delicate Madeleine Angevine and Bacchus —all of which thrive in Buckinghamshire’s varied soil. During your guided tour, you’ll meander through the vineyards while hearing about the Chafor family’s winemaking adventures—full of challenges, triumphs, and a few surprises. Then, you’ll indulge in a tasting of three estate-grown wines, savoring the fruits of their labor. With this cheeseboard voucher, your wine will be accompanied by a hand-picked selection of cheeses, crackers and pickles. Tours and tastings run on afternoons from spring to autumn, with extra summer evening sessions. It’s a delightful way to unwind and soak in the beauty of Buckinghamshire!
