About the Bala White Water Rafting Rapid Session
Experience the thrill of white water rafting on the Tryweryn River in Bala! You’ll navigate the exhilarating rapids of this stunning North Wales location. Each raft holds six adventurers, making for an unforgettable ride. Located just outside the North Wales White Water Centre in Bala, the Tryweryn River offers easy access to adrenaline-pumping waters. The centre has been a hub for paddle sports since 1983, and with these vouchers, you'll get two exciting runs through the upper rapids. You'll be tackling grade 3-4 rapids—just the right balance of challenge and excitement. With grade 1 being gentle and grade 6 considered un-runnable, this stretch provides a thrilling yet accessible adventure for all skill levels. Before hitting the water, you’ll be fully kitted out with the necessary gear. An expert instructor will guide you from the back of the raft, helping you navigate the fast-flowing currents while keeping your team in sync. Along the way, expect plenty of drops and stoppers to keep your adrenaline pumping!

- Minimum age 12
- Under 16s must be accompanied by a participating adult
- Maximum weight 18 stone (115kg)
- Participants must be able to swim 25 metres
- Weekdays and weekends throughout the year
- Dates and session times are subject to availability and weather conditions
- Participants should arrive 15 minutes prior to their session start time

- Wetsuits should be worn and can be hired for £8 per person (if bringing your own, it must have full legs)
- A minimum of two participants is required for the event to take place.
- In the unlikely event of minimum numbers not being met, your date will be rescheduled
- Spectators are welcome, although due to the nature of this activity, viewing is limited
