Did not feel the best during the flight in the old 8 seater plane, by the time the spitfire came close enough to take photos i could not enjoy it as i should have as the highlight of the experience as i felt quite airsick by then due to the buffertingturbulence experienced in the cramped confined conditions of the plane, and to be honest could not wait to get back down as i felt quite airsick by the time it was over, so i did not capture the spitfire on camera or enjoy as i should have done, but i did not like to seem ungrateful as my family paid a lot of money on this gift.

An excellent experience and friendly helpful team. I would highly recommend this to anyone. The Wing to Wing was unbelievable including talking to the pilot afterwards, a font of knowledge and experiences. The Tiger Moth was exhilarating and a great pilot who was happy to chat and share her experiences with me also.

I thought the whole experience was magical. I was lucky as we were delayed bt flew, the flights behind us were cancelled. On our flight several had been cancelled two or three times. I had not really considered that when we booked. The team at Duxford were amazing and made the visit that bit more special.

The components of this experience are very special. I had lots of time flying the Tiger Moth which was a bonus and I found all the pilots patient and pleasant company and real enthusiasts. It would have been improved with some more information beforehand regarding timings and activities to help coordinate with visiting friends and family.

A really excellent and magical experience seeing the Spitfire in its natural environment I feel really privileged to have had the opportunity to see this. The event was well run and the staff were very friendly efficient but relaxed. There was quite a lot of waiting around as the flight was a bit delayed but the staff happily engaged us in relevant aviation related conversation

Absolutely fantastic The elements conspired against us and couldnt quite finish the full experience on the day but given a free ticket to come back and finish. Flying with a spitfire was absolutely as good as it sounds Just brilliant Very friendly staff keeping us well informed

I enjoyed the experience, all concerned were very friendly. I would give a special thank you to the Spitfire pilot. Not only for his flying ability, but for his attitude towards us when answering questions. Two comments, entry to Duxford requires improvement, and, during the BoB tour, I believe some statements were incorrect. Notably re finger four v big wing instead of v the vic formation. But, overall, a fantastic day.

Great exprience in what was a well organised and friendly event. Would only comment that the guests could do with a covered area with heating and seats. But other than that an amazing day.

Fabulous experience, every bit as exciting as you would imagine. Everything well planned and all staff very pleasant and helpful. Would do it again in a heartbeat if I wasnt saving for the spitfire flight

Naturally good weather helps but, the event was very well organised, ran extremely smoothly, and was full of extra little touches that make a good product excellent. Plenty of humour in the briefings, photos of all the participants, a free lunch, and champagne to round of the experience really made the day.As for the experience itself, well, what can I say. To fly in a Dragon Rapide is in itself a privilege. It is a mode of transport from a more gentle and less hurried era. To then find oneself in formation with a Spitfire is about as good as it gets without actually being IN the Spitfire. And yes, it does get close you do not need telephoto lenses for this flight One final added bonus is of course the beautiful Cambridgeshire countryside. The totally friendly and efficient staff all make this a very memorable day and well worth it.

This was a great experience and well organised by very friendly and helpful staff. Flying alongside a Spitfire at your wingtip did really put you in the position of a squadron leader.

It lived up to my expectations in full. Duxford is the ideal location for such an experience because of its history and all the airfield activity with WW2 aircraft. The flight in the Rapide was great fun and flying with the Spitfire spectacular.Well done to everyone involved very professional but very friendly too.

I arrived at Duxford just as the gates opened at 10am and just as the rain drops started to fall a poor weather forecast threatened to put a damper on the whole days event but fortunately this time the met man got it wrong with all going smoothly and it just got better as the day progressed. The rather slow moving prebooked queue gave the opportunity to talk to others looking forward to some kind of similar flying experience and for me there was plenty of time to look around the museum before checking in at the allotted time and then returning to the control tower for the preflight briefing. Id already recognised Paul Bonhomme as the Spitfire pilot and having seen him compete in the Red Bull Air Race series and enjoyed his flying displays as one half of the Red Bull Matadors I knew this experience would be something special and he didnt disappoint. I think we were extremely fortunate in having such a skilled person at the controls of the Spitfire being an expert in very close formation flying as he does with Matadors and precise positioning as in air racing. It was interesting to see how he never took his eyes off the Rapide when flying alongside and made sure the Spitfire was in exactly the right spot for all the camera lenses pointing in his direction. A nostalgic day for me as Id flown in Dragon Rapides many times in the sixties but the difference here is the plane had seats A thoroughly enjoyable day and a fantastic experience, the cherry on the cake was provided by Paul when he unexpectedly carried out a full flying display in the Spitfire over the airfield later in the day.

Reviewed by: Malcolm Martin

Superb, this event was chosen for me and fullfilled all my expectations and more. All the people I came into contact with were great the staff and the other members of my group which made the experience outstanding. The aircraft were the stars of the show the Rapide the Tiger Moth and the stunning Spitfire could not have been better.

Reviewed by: Paul Daykin

Fantastic experience. Thoroughly enjoyed the day.One minor point is that i sat in the front seat of the Rapide but for the majority of the flight the Spitfire flew behind the wings, the people behind me got a much better view of the Spitfire than me.

Reviewed by: Richard Cunningham

Fantastic wing to wing experience. An awesome flight in a Dragon Rapide flying alongside a beautifully restored Spitfire. The experience also included a flight in a Tiger Moth but due to strong crosswinds it was not possible to do on the day but U was given a voucher to complete this experience sometime in the next 12 months.
