Is there anything better than opting for a fun and interesting experience whilst learning a tone of new skills whilst you’re at it? If you’ve always wanted to learn how to fly, this lesson in Lancashire is ideal. Tarn Farm is nestled in the heart of the North West countryside where James and Hazel run this training school minutes away from the Lake District National Park. Both of them are incredibly informative about microlights and passionate about getting people into the skies and falling in love with flying. As a beginner, you won’t be in better hands. Not only is this an educational experience, but a pleasurable one as you soar to new heights over the Lune Valley and the picturesque Morecombe Bay. Along the way, you’ll witness traditional west coast seaside towns, rolling countryside and luscious lakes. With scenic views guaranteed along the way as you explore further into the countryside, this microlight lesson will be enjoyed by all, but especially for beginners who are keen to get their foot in the door for flying. With lessons offered seven days a week across the year, there’s bound to be a date to suit you, so there’s no excuse not to get yourself signed up and into the skies.

My microlight experience was fantastic, it was something I had on my bucket list and Barry my pilot made the whole experience very memorable. I felt safe, I was well informed and Barry provided really interesting information about the areas we where flying over. I would definitely recommend Barry Light who is based at Cockerham for a truly wonderful 60 minutes in the sky

Located in the Lancashire countryside. The weather was fine with just a few clouds about. The pilot is personable and very knowledgeable of the area. It was really good fun. Get it on your bucket list.

I got up there from down here. It is like being on a motor bike in the sky. It was cold, scary, and just terrific I did not lean over the side, and if he banks and turns you know you are alive.Wonderful experience....exciting but safe in the hands of an expert

Bought 45 minute microlight flight for my husbands birthday. He said it was one of the best things he has ever done, absolutely loved it. Not only did he love the experience, he also said Barry had fantastic knowledge of every area they covered and he learned a lot from him. Definitely do it again, think he has the bug now
