Explore the North West with these mighty microlight flights departing from Tarn Farm tucked away in Lancashire. As soon as you arrive here, you’ll pick up on the homey feel as James and Hazel Walker run the training school together and are both incredibly knowledgeable about the art of microlights. You will fly out of Rossall Field once you’ve received your safety briefing and received a rundown of the controls to master flying your chosen aircraft. With the ability to fly either a flexi wing or fixed wing, you can opt for that fresh open cockpit feel or a more traditional microlight experience - the choice is yours. After taking off, you’ll be treated to incredible views over the Morecambe Bay area and beyond as you soak up the sights and get a feel for the controls. Your instructor will run you through some basic flight manoeuvres and ensure you feel comfortable before you have a go yourself. Depending on the flight route, you may even catch a glimpse of the Lake District from the air as you float over the Lancashire countryside and beyond. If you’ve always been curious abut learning to fly but never sure where to start, microlights are a safe bet for getting you confident in the skies.

My microlight experience was fantastic, it was something I had on my bucket list and Barry my pilot made the whole experience very memorable. I felt safe, I was well informed and Barry provided really interesting information about the areas we where flying over. I would definitely recommend Barry Light who is based at Cockerham for a truly wonderful 60 minutes in the sky

Located in the Lancashire countryside. The weather was fine with just a few clouds about. The pilot is personable and very knowledgeable of the area. It was really good fun. Get it on your bucket list.

I got up there from down here. It is like being on a motor bike in the sky. It was cold, scary, and just terrific I did not lean over the side, and if he banks and turns you know you are alive.Wonderful experience....exciting but safe in the hands of an expert

Bought 45 minute microlight flight for my husbands birthday. He said it was one of the best things he has ever done, absolutely loved it. Not only did he love the experience, he also said Barry had fantastic knowledge of every area they covered and he learned a lot from him. Definitely do it again, think he has the bug now
