It's time to chuck some serious blades on this awesome axe throwing experience! In the depths of the countryside near Ware in Hertfordshire, you'll be going on a 60 minute session at an outdoor activity centre, trying your hand at hitting some targets with a double headed axe, a Tomahawk and knife to unleash the inner urban Viking in you! Each has different properties, whether it's the light but agile Tomahawk axes, a Swedish double headed, short handled throwing axe like the ones used in forestry in North America (and for competitive throwing), or a knife throw where you'll be shown how to utilise a 'pinch' grip to hold the blade to hurl it towards the target. A great activity to do solo or in a group, it'll certainly be an action packed session!

The axe throwing was a decent session of adventure training for its price. However, it was not led in a hugely interesting way, and was perhaps not suited as well to younger or smaller people. On the other hand, the session was very one to one, as only the instructor, my friend and myself were there, meaning we got the benefits of detailed instruction. 3.5 star rating. The knives were definitely more accessible and enjoyable.

- Welcome introduction and safety briefing
- Learn how to throw double headed Swedish throwing axes, smaller tomahawk throwing axes and knife throwing
- 60 minute session
- You will be in a group of up to 4 participants
