Soar above stunning woodlands and lakes during a 30-minute microlight experience in Corby, where you'll pilot your own flex-wing microlight under the guidance of an instructor from the historic Deenethorpe airfield. Deenethorpe Airfield, originally utilised by the USAAF 401st Bombardment Group from 1943-1945, lies just a stone's throw from Corby's city centre. Its tarmac runway, suitable for year-round flying, remains intact while the surrounding land has been returned to farming. On top of the stunning surroundings of Northamptonshire, these lessons allow you a taster of how it feels to soar across the sky in the ultra light Pegasus Quik Microlight - giving you the opportunity to take control of the craft and experience the sensation of flying like a bird. Once your instructor has completed takeoff and reached the hight of 1500ft, the power goes to you.
