About the experience

Product ID: 13933

Get to know the ‘Warbird’ Wacky Wabbit with this 20 Minute Flight in a 1940s aircraft. If you consider yourself a bit of a history buff, you’ll want to get well acquainted with this vintage machine as you are transported back to the previous century. With origins in the Canadian Car and Factory Company and then sent to Italy to rebuild Air Forces around Europe, this plane has seen a fair bit of the world and experienced a lot of history. Somehow the plane ended up on British shores in 2015, where its current owners lovingly restored it into the mint condition that it is today. With striking yellow and brown colours and equipped with the Wacky Wabbit logo, originally used by a British Flying Training School in Florida during the 1940s, the aircraft is probably unlike any you’ve seen before. Quirky, fun and steeped with a long aviation history, this flight is a unique opportunity to get up close and personal with a slice of history as you rumble through the skies and take in the sights and smells from a vehicle rooted in the distant past. You may even get to experience some aerobatics if you're feeling adventurous and have the chance to take the controls yourself if you're feeling up to it. With the flexibility of departing from Peterborough, Cambridgeshire or even Lincolnshire this is an experience that covers a range of locations and runs for six months out of the year. If you or someone you know is a keen history enthusiast who is looking for a one of a kind experience in a 1940s plane, make sure to get booked in quickly to avoid missing out.

A Harvard had been on my bucket list for a very long time, but Wacky Wabbit was well worth the wait The aircrafts ground crew and pilot made sure that everything ran very smoothly on the day and their communication was excellent when inclement weather forced a couple of hours delay. As if the flight itself wasnt memorable enough, flying from Fowlmere, a highly significant and historic airfield in its own right was an added bonus. Wacky Wabbit is very highly recommended, as is the whole Into The Blue operation, which has been excellent throughout.

What a fantastic experience flying in the Harvard T6 doing Battle of Britain manoeuvres and experienced G4 it was a real experience and to understand what the brave men went through hats off to them the pilot was great explaining everything throughout and didnt do anything you were uncomfortable with would highly recommend this experience.

Bought this for my husband as a celebration for our 40th wedding anniversary. T6 kindly agreed to change our original date due to my illness. The weather in the day was 34degrees and beautiful. My husband upgraded to the Battle of Britain along with a video of him in the plane. All the crew were so polite and helpful explaining ever that was about to happen adding to the anticipation of the flight. Husband was up for 20 minutes and said us was absolutely brilliant Did a full overhead roll and other manoeuvres all captured. It was a long journey from Scotland but it was worth every mile.
