About the experience

There are few castles which are as well known and renowned as Windsor, the Royal seat to over 40 monarchs for many thousands of years, with its round turrets, moats, hexagon shaped towers and flags flying majestically from their post. As you’ll already have your entry tickets when you arrive, you can skip the queue and head on inside. But don’t forget to get yourself an audio tour guide, as the commentary is a great way to compliment your leisurely exploration of the history and nobility of the castle, which is reflected in the grand and luxe interior design in its many State Apartments which are still used by the Royal Family to this day. You’ll also get the unique opportunity to see Queen Mary’s Dolls House, designed by the famous architect Sir Edwin Lutyens, and the Gothic chapel of St George’s, before enjoying a walk around the Precincts. And once you’re done, you can continue this most royally good of experiences over at the Clarence House brasserie, with its family owned tea rooms offering a traditional sparkling cream tea, with a complimentary flute of prosecco to accompany freshly brewed tea and coffee along with scrumptious homemade scones, sandwiches and other sweet treats.

- The Semi-State Rooms at Windsor Castle are currently open until 30th March 2025
- Windsor Castle is open Thursday to Monday, with a few exceptions when the Castle is in use.
- Closeout dates are 9th - 13th Jan 25, 16th June, 25-26th December
- Please Note: St George's Chapel is currently not open to visitors on Sundays
