About the experience

If you're a budding Segway rider from north Staffordshire through Cheshire, you don't want to miss out on the Segway experience in Manchester! This exciting adventure is filled with adrenaline-pumping thrills on a personal transporter. The Segway centre boasts a set of specially marked out trials and obstacle courses for you to attempt, all while balancing on your X2 Segway. The venue is located a few miles from the bustling cityscape of Manchester and is still very much a working farm. So, expect muddy tracks across all 160 acres, and don't be surprised if you bump into some cows too! Moreover, this centre situated south of Manchester has a dedicated obstacle route for Segways. If you have time, trek out into the wilds of Staffordshire woods, you'll be glad to experience weaving in and out of the trees, head over the little jumps, and even take on the Segway SeeSaw. Don't forget to gear up in full 'body armour', a full-face helmet, and knee pads to make the most of your adventure.

Most weekend dates are available from late February to early December
Sessions start from 10am and then run every hour and a half onwards

Location:

The venue is located within 160 acres of countryside in Heaton, around 20 miles South of Manchester near Rushton Spencer. Macclesfield, Stockport and Stoke on Trent are all within easy reach.

There is a café on-site serving drinks and snacks as well as a picnic area
Spectators are welcome and can watch the participants introduction and practice session before waiting back at the on-site cabin

I was a first time segway rider and took my two nieces with me aged 16 and 13 who were also first timers. The staff were really knowledgeable and did everything to ensure we had a fantastic time. We'll certainly be going back in the spring and would highly recommend it.

Really enjoyed this, have done Segway before but this was much better. Lots of time actually on the Segway and the course was varied and interesting. We even got to herd sheep on them! Describing it as "Manchester" is very misleading though. It's actually near Macclesfield, a good 45 mins out of Manchester at least, with lots of country lanes to navigate. We made it on time, just about!

The Segway course and team were amazing, after tackling the obstacle course we went off into the fields and woodland for a real adventure.  If felt strange at first but after 5 minutes it was second nature. I want to buy one to use at home!
