About the experience
See parts of Mid wales that you have never seen before in the Undiscovered Wales Tour. A helicopter sightseeing tour around mid Wales with a 30 minute flight. Take off from the airport at Welshpool, first heading over the amazing sandstone mansion of Powis Castle before flying towards the serene mountain locked Lake Vyrnwy valley. You will then head over the village of Meifod, where many of the Kings and Princes of Powys are said to be buried. In the distance see Cadar Idris, the chair of Idris the Giant that is rumoured that you will end up as a poet or madman if you spend the night on the mountain. In the distance you might see the peaks of Snowdon before reaching Lake Vyrnwy the first stone built dam of its kind in the world. Finally flying over the hills to the highest waterfall of England and Wales, Pistyll Rhaeadre, before returning to Welshpool via the Berwyn Mountains and Severn Valley.

- Fly over a stunning part of Wales. Views of Powys Castle as you head towards the Lake Vyrnwy valley. Pass over the village of Merifod with sights of Cadair Idris. You may see the peaks of Snowdonia on a clear day. Continue over the forest to the waterfall of Pistil Rhaeadr before returning over the Berwyn mountains and down the Servern Valley to Welshpool.
- Spectators are welcome to watch your departure and arrival
- Shared flights are sold on the basis that all seats are occupied. Flights may be rescheduled in the event all the seats cannot be filled. Any such situation will be communicated to you by the helicopter operator in advance of the flight date.
