About the Tank Driving Experience for Two - Renfrewshire
This is one driving package for two in Scotland that is certainly one with a difference, as this Tank Driving Experience for Two, hosted at Scart Farm - based in the Bridge of Weir in Renfrewshire, that's within easy access of Glasgow - will see you both reporting for duty at basecamp. An instructor will then be showing you around the controls of an ex-British Army FV432 APC armoured tank, weighing 18 tonnes, and you'll each then climb into the tank on separate sessions. You'll have up to 20 minutes' driving time navigating this titan of a machine around a course that has a number of challenging steep, wet and muddy terrains that'll really show off what it can do. You'll also both get a chance to ride in the crew compartment, making this a truly authentic military tank driving experience.
- Drive an FV432 full-tracked tank
- Ex-British Army armoured personnel carrier
- Drive for up to 20 minutes
- Then ride in the crew compartment
- Drive an ex-British Army APC 432 tank
- Field briefing before getting dressed in camouflage for your mission
- Tuition from an experienced instructor
- Drive the tank for one circuit of the course through water (depending on weather and time of the year) and over steep inclines
- Allow approximately one hour for this experience with up to 20 minutes drive time
- Please note drive time is dependent on the speed you drive
- The circuit can be completed quicker however this is not recommended
- You will form part of a small group for this experience
- When you are not driving you will ride in the crew compartment of the tank as a passenger
