Are you looking for a fun-filled experience with Tamarin monkeys? Look no further! There is an indoor petting zoo near Waltham Abbey in Essex that offers an exciting opportunity to meet charming Tamarins. These tiny primates are indigenous to central South America and are known for being playful, curious and highly intelligent. They are also great problem-solvers! When you visit the monkey experience in Essex, the ranger host will provide you with information about Tamarins and their natural habitat. The team at the zoo is dedicated to caring for and respecting all animals and takes great care of their residents. The little Tamarins are fascinating to observe, and you will get a chance to get up close to them, interact with them, and even assist with feeding under the guidance of the ranger. During your visit, you will spend approximately 20-30 minutes with the ranger and the Tamarin monkey tribe. After that, you are welcome to explore the mini zoo, which is home to a wide variety of reptiles, amphibians, small mammals, fish, and birds. To ensure a high-quality experience, group sizes are kept to a maximum of four. So, bring your friends or family along, and have a great time with these adorable little monkeys!

Information
- Spectators are welcome for a fee payable direct on the day
- Minimum age 2, under 16s must be accompanied by an adult
- This experience is not suitable for anyone who is pregnant, has a low/supressed immune system or has cold/flu symptoms
Minimum Age: 2 years
- Carers assisting those with disabilities can attend free of charge upon providing proof of DLA (Disabled Living Allowance), a Blue Badge or Freedom Pass or a signed letter from a doctor or GP (Photo ID required)
- Prior to your visit you will need to complete an animal handling consent form
- Selected weekdays and weekends throughout the year, subject to availability
- Slots can be booked from 10am to 5pm
- After your experience you are welcome to enjoy the rest of the mini zoo until 6pm
