Itinerary

Opportunity to handle and fly a variety of owls to the glove
Owls flown may include; Siberian Eagle Owl, Great Grey Owl, Brown Asian Wood Owl, Indian Eagle Owl, Barn Owls and Tawny Owls
Participants will handle and fly at least 2 different species of owls, depending on the group size
Plenty of photo opportunities
Allow up to two hours for this experience
You will be part of a group of up to 15 participants

Suitable For

Minimum age 10
Under 16's must be accompanied by a participating or spectating adult

Spectators

Spectators are welcome for a £15 fee payable by cash on the day
Children under the age of 10 are free but must be accompanied by an adult that has purchased a spectator pass

Restrictions

Minimum Age: 12 years

Availability

Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, subject to availability
Sessions generally operate at 10:30-12:30, 13:00-15:00 and 15:15-17:15 (daylight permitting)

Anything Else

Stroking the Owls is not allowed as this removes the necessary oils from their feathers
Please arrive 15 minutes before your booked session time
Sensible outdoor clothing and covered footwear should be worn
Animal Welfare Licence AW055 issued by Fenland District Council

Shropshire Falconry Raptor Experience was one of those never forget moments. We were exceedingly well looked after and given a very professional hands on session with perfect specimen birds of prey. To handle such beautiful and athletic creatures at very close quarters was more than we had hoped for. Lisa and Steve are such devoted carer/trainers and their passion, love and knowledge of their birds is obvious, infectious and truly impressive. For those who want to see these flying athletes at their best then Shropshire Falconry is a must.
