About the One Hour Flex Fixed Wing Microlight Combo
Experience the thrill of microlighting over picturesque Herefordshire at Shobdon Airfield with this Flex and Fixed Wing combination experience. You now no longer have to decide whether you want to be exposed to the elements or more secluded in a closed cockpit because in this unique experience, you can sample both styles of microlight flying. As you spend 30 minutes exploring each, you'll get incredible views over Clee Hill and the Marches as you get familiar with the wonders of microlight flying and the various controls. As you receive expert tuition from instructors, you'll be mastering the art of flying in no time. However, once your time is up on both flights and you get back to Shobdon, you can relax and enjoy a bite to eat at the on-site café and watch the busy airfield action, or extend your stay with a handy camping and caravan site next to the cider apple orchards. With parachuting, gliding, and other light aircraft activities, Shobdon Airfield is the perfect setting for an unforgettable microlighting weekend in the heart of Herefordshire! Experience Information
- Minimum age 14
- Under 18s must be accompanied on the airfield by an adult
- Maximum weight 15 stone 10lbs (100kg)
- Spectators are welcome to come along and watch the take off and landing
- Bring along a camera for some great photo opportunities (must have a suitable lanyard on your camera)
- Only one person may take the flight (including combo option)
- Home-cooked food and refreshments can be purchased from the on-site café, open 7 days a week
