About the experience

Whether you are an experienced photographer looking to try a new area or some one interested in giving photography a go, this Full Day Macro Photography Session is a great workshop to get stuck in. With a Full day session lasting around 6 hours, your experienced and skilled instructor will teach you all the tips and tricks. You will ease into your session with a tea/coffee and with a tour around the studio setup. The studio is fully equipped for your photoshoot with the tropical subjects, with different types of frogs and geckos posing for you. With instructors helping you throughout the day, you will have time to practise your shot and get some amazing shots to show off your new skills.

All under 16's must be accompanied by a participating adult
The course is suitable for most levels of photographic experience
The studio is on the second floor so may not be suitable for those who require walking aids or a wheelchair

Tripods are not necessary
Good images may be achieved with a macro lens
Additional memory cards and fully charged batteries are recommended
Not suitable for spectators

We have just returned from a "family session" of macro photography with Wild Arena at Knowsely Safari Park. We all enjoyed it immensely, and the mentors were very experienced and patient. 4 clients 4 different cameras and 4 very different abilities .. but we all took photographs we never thought we could achieve. And the models were so well behaved!! ( a gecko, a harvest mouse, a frog and a mantis ) Very calm atmosphere, and changes of scene and lighting and model all done quickly and efficiently so we got a lot for our money. A very enjoyable and relaxed session with knowledgeable, personable mentors happy to answer questions. There is definitely something to be gained from this experience by photographers of all abilities. The studio models are clearly well looked after and the facilities and advice virtually guarantee plenty of images to take away and enjoy. When you see the effort and pride that goes into these sessions they are definitely good value.
