Heartbeat Day Tour
About the experience
Step inside the shoes of the hit TV series, Heartbeat with this extensive tour hosted by an expert guide. Departing from the easily accessible York Railway station you will be picked up in a luxury mini coach and driven around the most famous spots where Heartbeat was filmed. Although the last episode was aired in 2010, Heartbeat still has a cultish following which can be appreciated today with the existence of the fictional Aidensfield village shop in Goathland. This place is a highlight of the tour as it’s covered in 1960s memorabilia and a time capsule to the popular show with signed cast photos littering the walls. It is a must for every fan, and not far from the spot is Aidensfield Station which has also appeared in the Harry Potter films. Your expert guide has fascinating insider trivia knowledge of the series and will be showing you all the best stops as you visit Brow House Farm which was the home of Claude Greenglass, Aidensfield Arms, the Police House, Dr Ferrenby's surgery and Scripps' garage and funeral parlour. In this tour, you will not only be transported back in time to the 1960s but leave with a revived love of the series and a reminder of how cosy and heart-warming watching it made you feel. After this extensive part of the tour, you will then be driven to the haunted town of Whitby where there are also links to Heartbeat, Dracula and Captain Cook. For those who have never gotten over the ending of the series, this is the perfect experience to capture their love and appreciation for the show and the wider moors and villages of North Yorkshire.
