About the experience
For those gliding enthusiasts based in Devon or the South West of England, this day’s gliding course above Dartmoor will surely appeal! Hosted at Brentor Airfield near Tavistock in Devon, this friendly small gliding club will offer you a full and comprehensive day’s gliding experience, as you take flight over a series of six sessions, offering the most amount of flying time possible whilst giving you plenty of opportunities to take control of the glider, so it’s a fully hands-on experience, with your flight operated by winch tow. Plus you’ll also be taken through the numerous procedures relating to gliding. And upon completion of your day’s course, you’ll take home a certificate and your completed training record!

Gliding Day :
- 6 winch launches with a qualified BGA instructor
- You will gain a good understanding and knowledge of flying techniques
- Learn about procedures including log keeping and signalling, cable retrieve procedures and winch driving

Information
- Maximum height 6ft 3 inches
- Maximum weight 16 stone
- Participants are required to declare they have no medical conditions that would stop them from flying
- Warm clothing and sturdy footwear is recommended
- Saturdays and Sundays throughout the year
- Dates and session times are subject to availability and weather conditions
- Day courses run from 9:00 to 17:00, with a break for lunch

Thoroughly enjoyed my glider flight, although i was disapointed that i didn't get a tempory mmbership to the club to enable me to have further flights as i was lead to believe. Would like to have done more flightsas the weather wasn't that good on the day as my 2 winches only lasted a total of 9 minutes.
