About the experience

Create a unique and personal addition for your home with this one-of-a-kind Coat Rack Forging Experience in Kent! Just outside the charming village of Horsmonden, near Tunbridge Wells, you’ll join master blacksmith Michael in a full-day, hands-on adventure. Under his guidance, you'll dive into the art of blacksmithing, learning timeless techniques and creating a beautiful, functional piece that reflects your own craftsmanship. In this immersive session, you’ll shape metal leaves that will serve as decorative yet functional holders for the hand-forged hooks you’ll attach to your backplate. Using a powerful 30-ton hydraulic press, you’ll learn to form the delicate, organic leaf shapes and then create hooks with traditional blacksmithing tools and an anvil. You’ll even forge the backplate to which everything will be secured. As a finishing touch, you’ll rivet the metal components together, completing a stunning coat rack ready to take pride of place in your home. Treat yourself or a loved one to this unforgettable experience - the perfect gift for birthdays, anniversaries, or any special occasion.
