During your tour, you'll visit the site of Chaplin's most lived in home, the pub where he saw his father for the last time and see the theatre where he rose to fame in "Sherlock Holmes." Born in South London in 1889, Chaplin spent a large portion of his life wandering these city streets before joining a stage company at age 19 where he left for the USA. From here, Chaplin struck gold during the silent film era in America, and went on to produce some of the most iconic films of the 20th century, where the Tramp Man is probably one of his most recognisable characters alongside an impressive film list including 'Making a Living' 'The Great Dictator' and 'Modern Times.' On this tour, you'll walk the streets of South London where Chaplin spent his early years and learn all about his childhood and beyond.
