The iconic Blackpool Tower Ballroom needs very little introduction, but suffice to say, this magnificent ballroom, first built in 1894, is known the world over as a mecca of ballroom dancing. And fans of Strictly Come Dancing will of course know that it's where the hugely popular BBC celebrity ballroom show makes its annual mid-series pilgrimage year after year every November. Seeing the ballroom in person, you'll appreciate the intricate interiors and mouldings, gold leaf plasterwork and distinctive scallop shaped balconies that instantly make it recognisable. And then of course, there's that sprung dance floor that's bathed in an illuminated light show as the dancing begins, whether it's a graceful and romantic waltz or a nimble and speedy quickstep, once you're carried away by the music from the original Wurlitzer organ, then, as Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman would say, you'll just want to keeeep dancing! Back at your table, you'll be served a splendid afternoon tea, with the traditional arrangement of scones, jam and cream, sweet and savoury tasty treats, served with freshly brewed tea or coffee. - Weekdays throughout the year (excluding September and October)
- Afternoon tea can be taken at 12 noon or 12.30pm
- Please note: The Blackpool Tower Ballroom may close at short notice due to private events and opening times are subject to change. In such an instance, we reserve the right to cancel your booking and provide an alternative date/time within a 90 day period of your original booking date. Costs relating to travel & transport for your booking will not be reimbursed if we are required to cancel your booking due a private event
