Explore a world full of wonder and excitement at a beautiful farm park centre in Frilford, located near Oxford. You can enjoy our private birds of prey encounters with exclusive vouchers for up to four people, where you can choose from two unforgettable experiences - the Birds of Prey Encounter or the Owl Encounter. Your adventure will begin with a tour of the aviaries and mews, where you can get up close to these majestic birds and take plenty of close-up photos. During the Birds of Prey Encounter, you'll learn about the noble sport of falconry, the upbringing of these magnificent creatures, and the daily routine of the falconer. This one-hour experience also includes a free-flying session, where you'll take three to five raptors out for exercise. Imagine the thrill of a beautiful bird flying over your head and landing on your gloved fist. If you love owls, the Owl Encounter is a must. Spend an hour with the falconer and the owls, handling and flying at least three different species of these captivating creatures. With adorable little owls and bigger species' big, dark eyes, this experience is sure to leave you enchanted. These experiences are perfect for family outings, as an hour is the perfect length of time to keep children captivated and entertained. All sessions are available on a private booking basis, so you, the birds, and your handler host will be the only ones present.

Bird of Prey Encounter

An insight into falconry lasting around one hour
A short tour of the centre by an experienced falconer
Hands on experience with the birds

Owl Encounter

A one hour session learning about the nocturnal predators
Handle and fly at least 3 types of owls under the guidance of a falconer

Spectator charges of £5 per person are applicable to adults and children and are payable locally

This falconry centre is a true gem. James is incredibly knowledgable and made sure that we got the most out of the day. There are so many amazing birds to meet, and other animals such as meerkats, raccoons and ferrets. There is also a flying display to see in addition to your experience, so the value is extremely good. Highly recommended.

First impressions are very important and with this company you are not disappointed. We were warmly welcomed by the owner and given a detailed explanation in what would be our program, straight away we were given a bird each to hold including my wife who was only there to spectate. I was given three birds to hold during the time which to my surprise included an Eagle. The owner has a deep passion for these birds and his knowledge is astounding, and although I may forget a lot of what he said I shall never forget the day.

A really good day out. After watching the flying display you get to fly and feed the Birds of Prey youself - for me a Falcon, a Kestrel and a Reluctant Owl - he was a little put off by the tractor noise nearby! The handlers tell you all about the birds and there is time to look around the aviaries and visit the garden centre too. A lovely experience.

The centre was del run and very well organised. The staff obviously had a great passion for their birds and were very knowledgable. One negative is that I was not notified by Into the Blue that the Falconry Centre had moved to a new location after my experience was booked.
