About the experience
Mastering the ancient sport of Archery has never been easier or more pleasant in the historic grounds of De Vere Slaley Hall Hotel in Newcastle, and it doesn’t stop there. In this experience you can opt for just Archery, or a combination of Paintball and Air Rifling to be the masters of all shooting. Whatever you choose, you’ll be in the hands of expert instructors who are used to handling people of all abilities, from complete beginners to professional marksmen and women. If you are keen to master Archery alone, rest assured you’ll be in good hands. From the start you’ll be given a thorough safety briefing from an expert instructor and be kitted out with forearm protectors and finger guards. After looking the part and donning all the appropriate sporting attire, you’ll then head straight out onto the practice stand. Here, you’ll be taught how to stand, aim your arrow and complete a smooth release. Archery takes practice to master, so you probably won’t be hitting the bullseye immediately, but our instructors have a plan to get you there. Soon enough, you’ll be shooting arrows with ease, with the stunning 1,000 acre backdrop of an Edwardian Manor to inspire you along the way. If you fancy being a master of all shooting trades and opt for the combination experience, you will then get a chance to use an air rifle and take on field targets and indulge in a competitive game of paintball. Whether you are a seasoned shooter or complete beginner, who can resist the beautiful surroundings of this estate and have a chance to give into that inner competitive spirit with a range of shooting experiences available.

Information
- There is a minimum age of 8 years old
- Under 16's must be accompanied by an adult
- Archery sessions take place within the 1000 acres of Slaley Hall, an Edwardian Mansion
- Located around 20 miles west of Newcastle in Hexham
Minimum Age: 6 years
- Experiences are available seven days a week throughout the year
- There is a lodge cabin onsite for spectators and guests
- There is also a hotel within the grounds with luxury accommodation, a bar, restaurants, spa and golf courses if you are interested in staying in the area
