Nestled in the heart of Essex, this airfield has been teaching people how to fly since 1988 and has an experienced set of pilots on hand to get you feeling comfortable in the skies. The club is also unique in that it owns this airfield, so flyers are not restricted by commercial traffic causing delays and extra landing fees. There’s none of that here, in this cosy airfield treating learners to incredible views over the Essex coastline. The club has trained many people over the years and helped them get their PPL (Private Pilot’s Licence) and you could soon be among one of the success stories as you take a lesson here and end up falling in love with the flying. For this lesson, you’ll probably be flying a high wing Cessna 152 which is a classic learner aircraft due to its stability and lightness.
