About the experience
Learn to fly a helicopter with a friend as you explore the stunning scenery over the Cotswolds. If you’re close to Cheltenham or Gloucester you’re in the prime location to access one of our lessons, as this airport is located just three minutes from the M5 and A40. In this lesson you will be flying a four seater Robinson R44 which gives you ample opportunity to invite a friend along with you as it’s extra roomy. Your session will begin with an introduction to how helicopters work, as well as a walkthrough the basic controls and safety procedures. Before you jump aboard, you’ll even have a chance to decide your own flight path which will soon make you feel like you’re a proper pilot. Although Gloucestershire Airport oversees more than 90,000 flights a year it is also known for offering excellent helicopter training. You’ll experience this first hand whilst being seated alongside an expert instructor throughout the duration of your flight.
