About the 30 Minute Vintage Biplane Flight - UK Wide Locations
Chocks away, chaps, as you get to take a retrospective flight like no other on a 30 Minute Flight in a stunning and fully restored vintage Biplane at a great selection of UK wide aerodromes and airfields! You’re sure to feel the same rush of excitement that RAF pilots in training felt whilst taking to the skies in the likes of a Stampe or Tiger Moth. The adrenaline builds as you get settled and strapped into your seat in the plane’s interior, and prepare for the almost theatrical ceremony that is ‘swinging the prop’. As you hear the command to ‘Switches off, fuel on, throttle closed, suck in' and ‘contact’ and hear the biplane engine rev up, you’ll be up over the grass runway and be airborne in no time at all. As you crane your neck out over the side of the fuselage, looking over the side of the propeller, there is very little that captures the same energy as flying in one of these much loved planes. And you’ll be surprised just how little breeze there is and what a great job the windscreen does of keeping it to a minimum. And once your pilot’s demonstrated how just a few gentle turns does a good job of helping it fly majestically over the sky, they may even demonstrate some of the more daring manoeuvres that it can pull off too - maybe even an aerobatic loop to bring this truly special vintage flight to a fine climax!

- Cambridgeshire, Duxford Airfield
- Dorset, Compton Abbas Airfield
- Essex, Damyns Hall Aerodrome
- Kent, Headcorn Aerodrome
- Norfolk, North Denes Airfield, Great Yarmouth
- York, Breighton Airfield
- There is a minimum height limit of 4'6" and a maximum of 6'4"
- Maximum weight limit is 16 stone
- Minimum age 14
- Prolonged periods of inactivity, air pressure changes, G pressure changes, turbulence, noise and light levels experienced during flights in open cockpit vintage aircraft may affect certain medical conditions
- Any passenger with any doubts about their health when flying should seek medical advice
- You are advised to wear warm comfortable clothing
- Friends and family are welcome to come and watch, time can usually be made to pose for photographs
Minimum Age: 14 years
- Weekdays and weekends between March and October*
- Dates and flight times are subject to availability at your chosen venue

- All Tiger Moth and other vintage aircraft flights are operated by aeroclubs fully compliant with Civil Aviation Authority rules and regulations
- The flight times quoted are 'chock to chock', so run from taxiing out to when you stop after landing
- Facilities vary from site to site but most venues have a clubhouse where you can purchase snacks and refreshments
- Entry to IWM Duxford is included for participants if selecting this venue
