This simulator in Manchester is truly special as it has been designed and built by two twins, Stuart and Alan Russell who have been aviation enthusiasts their whole lives. Both former RAF pilots, they also have an incredible amount of experience in flying a variety of aircrafts. It’s safe to say that you’ll be in more than capable hands throughout the duration of this 2 hour session with both of these friendly, experienced pilots. Moreover, if you’re looking for a simulator that mirrors a real plane - this is the one. Fully equipped with an Airbus system and its accompanying architecture, including 220 degree HD visuals it will feel like you’re actually in the skies as the six axis motion system kicks in and you find yourself experiencing all the real movements of an aircraft. As captain, you’ll also get to decide where to fly to and what your flight path will look like but rest assured, you’ll have a fully trained pilot sitting alongside you in the first officer’s seat the entire time. Here, they will be able to give you all their tips and tricks and help whenever necessary. So if you’ve always wanted to get into flying and haven’t been sure where to start, or if you simply want to brush up on some skills, this is the perfect simulator for you.

Exceeded expectations! The guys running the place were amazing, guiding me through every stage from push off to landing and were open to suggestions about what I wanted to do. The simulator was so realistic, I imagined it being just like the real thing and was an experience like no other, totally unforgettable. These guys are brilliant, and the simulator took me back to being a 14 year on the flight deck of British Airways A320 on our many trips to Nice my mum worked for Air France and we used her staff tickets for travel all before the days of secure cockpits and being able to allow airline staff and family to use jump seats.

A fantastic experience taking the controls of an Airbus A320. As the ‘pilot’ I had to input the flight plan, taxi the aircraft, take off, follow the route and then land all under the expert supervision of the instructor. As an added bonus we had time for a quick simulation of taking off and landing at the old Kai Tak airport in Hong Kong!

Great experience!! U can choose where u want to take off + land with different weather choices if u require.. The feeling of u making the plane take off + land is something u can't really imagine.. Was brill.Also learning how to input all the info the plane requires b4 takeoff is unbelievable..Will be doing it again in the near future!!

Received a gift voucher for 1 hour A320 flight simulator which I extended to 1.5 hours so my companions could have a go. Used at Salford which is run by two (twin) brothers. A pleasant welcome and briefing over coffee where we were given a list of airports and discussed what we would like to do. A very realistic experience with expert guidance as necessary on the controls and great array of switches and buttons. Can see why pilots are paid so much. Not cheap but well worth it. Put it on your Christmas list.
