Which Hogwarts House Are You? Celebrate Your House Pride This March!

Ah, the age-old question: which Hogwarts house do you belong to? Whether you've been officially sorted by the Sorting Hat (or, more likely, an online quiz), there's something special about knowing where you fit within the Wizarding World. And what better time to embrace your house pride than now, with all four houses getting their very own celebration days!

Thursday 20th March - Hufflepuff Pride Day

Friday 21st March - Slytherin Pride Day

Saturday 22nd March - Gryffindor Pride Day

Sunday 23rd March - Ravenclaw Pride Day

So, let’s take a look at each house, their best qualities, and, of course, a few iconic members who embodied what it truly means to be part of their house.

Hufflepuff: The Kind-Hearted and Hardworking (20th March)

Hufflepuffs often get a bad rap as ‘the leftovers’, but in reality, they’re some of the most hardworking, kind, and loyal witches and wizards around. They believe in fairness, and they know that success isn’t just about talent - it’s about dedication and heart.

Need proof? Just look at Cedric Diggory, an absolute legend in every way. Brave, talented, and, most importantly, kind, Cedric proved that Hufflepuff isn’t just about making up the numbers. They’re the glue that holds the wizarding world together. Also, let’s not forget that Newt Scamander, the beloved Magizoologist, was a Hufflepuff too!

So if you’re someone who values kindness, loyalty, and a strong work ethic, grab a butterbeer and celebrate Hufflepuff Pride Day!

Slytherin: The Ambitious and Cunning (21st March)

Ah, Slytherin - the house that’s often misunderstood. Sure, it’s home to some questionable characters (Voldemort), but let’s not forget that Slytherins are ambitious, resourceful, and fiercely loyal to those they care about. They’re the ones who get things done, and they know how to make an impact.

Take Severus Snape, for example. The man played the longest, most dangerous double game in wizarding history, proving that Slytherins aren’t just about self-interest - they can be deeply brave and self-sacrificing too. And then there’s Draco Malfoy, who, despite making some pretty terrible decisions, showed us that Slytherins are human, and growth is possible.

So if you’re a Slytherin, take this day to embrace your ambition, celebrate your cleverness, and show the world what true determination looks like.

Gryffindor: The Brave and Bold (22nd March)

Gryffindors are known for their bravery, courage, and, let’s be honest, a tendency to jump into things headfirst (looking at you, Harry). They’re the ones who take risks, stand up for what’s right, and aren’t afraid to break a few rules for the greater good.

Of course, we have to talk about Harry Potter himself. The Boy Who Lived proved time and time again that true bravery isn’t just about fighting - it’s about standing up for your friends, making difficult choices, and never giving up. Then there’s Hermione Granger, who, let’s be honest, could have been a Ravenclaw but had the courage (and patience) to keep Harry and Ron alive for seven years.

If you’re a Gryffindor, celebrate your house pride by doing something bold - whether that’s facing your fears, standing up for a friend, or finally booking that Warner Bros. Studio Tour you’ve been meaning to go on.

Ravenclaw: The Wise and Witty (23rd March)

Last but not least, we have Ravenclaw - the house of intelligence, creativity, and wit. Ravenclaws are the ones who always have a book in hand, ask too many questions, and see the world in a completely unique way.

Look no further than Luna Lovegood, one of the most iconic Ravenclaws in the series. She was quirky, kind, and saw the world differently than anyone else - but that’s exactly what made her special. Then there’s Cho Chang, a talented witch and seeker, proving that Ravenclaws aren’t just about books - they’ve got skills too!

So if you’re a Ravenclaw, spend your pride day learning something new, sharing your wisdom, or just celebrating your wonderfully weird self.

Celebrate Your Hogwarts House in Real Life!

Whether you're a daring Gryffindor, a wise Ravenclaw, a loyal Hufflepuff, or an ambitious Slytherin, there’s no better way to celebrate than by stepping into the world of Harry Potter itself. If you haven’t been yet, the Warner Bros. Studio Tour is a must - walk through the Great Hall, see real props from the films, and even step onto Platform 9¾.

Or, if you want to feel like you’re part of the wizarding world, join our Wizards of London Walking Tour! You’ll visit some of the city’s most magical locations, learn about the history behind them, and maybe even spot a few places that inspired the wizarding world.
